Palava are a folk-roots ensemble from Nottingham, UK. It evolved through a series of regular home sessions featuring Nick Butcher and John Gaffan which led to the notion of recording some of the original material which had formed the core of the sessions. Coincidentally, a former band mate of Nick's, Liam Doona arrived at Nick's door with a newly purchased banjo in his hand. The result: PALAVA!
